Artist led walk

Our first venture out as a group responding to our local environment, was with Brendan Buesnel where, with his guidance and encouragement,

we explored landscape photography.

Tenshots, as we are now known, spent a day photographing around

Portland Marina, Castletown and Verne High Angle Battery. The assignment that followed would culminate in our own exhibition at the Outpost (also based on Portland and the home of B-Side). When our day with Brendan ended, keen to prepare for the exhibition, we all headed back to these locations and over the next couple of weeks, we experimented with different light conditions and photo opportunities and developed our own ideas further.

Amazingly, when we regrouped and presented our photos to Brendan and to each other, there was very little overlap in either subject or interpretation.  We then refined our shots down to the two best images each of us would  display at the exhibition, which would be a first for many of us. Although we were too nervous to say much on the night, the exhibition was well attended by friends and family – and Tenshots was born.

Thank you Brendan, Molly and all at b-side.
